Mt Aire has become one of my favorite new trail runs. It isn't a very long trek to the summit, only 3.24 miles & about 2,600' vertical foot climb. Of course 1.4 miles are spent just going up the road to the trailhead, once the entire canyon opens July 1 you'll be able to go at it directly from the trailhead at elbow fork.
Looking south from the top.
The view towards the Salt Lake Valley and Grandeur Peak to the west.
I-80 & Parleys Summit. Wonder if those cars below could see me frantically waving my arms?
The trail is fairly smooth but is somewhat steep. It does certainly provide some great views.
This shot was taken from the saddle just before the trail starts to zig zag up to the top of Mt Aire.
The first half of the trail winds through aspen and pine trees, quite lovely.
