The misses and I have on occasion wandered about the neighborhood to check out the homes in the area and there are quite a few 50's and 60's rambler, homes that I think could be great with a nice face lift. We spotted the updated house below, clearly the owners had gone to great length to give their 50's home a modern makeover. 
Now the "older version" of the 50's/60's rambler isn't bad, I suppose it has its charm but I think I know which I prefer, which home do you like more?
I think I like the original external structure preserved, but with interior upgrades. Olympus Drive has lost a lot of its old charm with those new mcmansions going up in place of those old school upper-middle America homes.
