Before I moved back to Utah I found an old wooden milk crate in the basement of my apartment building in Brooklyn. It was really a cool item, not only great for storage but also great for display. Being that old looking milk crates are hard to come by I've made some myself. Three of the five were made using discarded pallets I found behind a hardware store, and the two white ones from a cedar fence that someone had knocked down.
Fives company.
Need to make one more to have a proper pyramid.
My wife keeps asking me what I'm going to do with all these crates. I'll have to keep them hidden so they don't end up on the streets.
KEEP THEM! I am so sad I no longer have hubby's large wooden tea crates from England. :(

rosemary thank you for the ideas, i'd love to make furniture only out of pallets. there's so many of them and they already have a rustic look.
