Shortly after my wife & I moved to Salt Lake I took her on one of my favorite trails in the area; Dog Lake. These pictures were taken back in early November before we got a nice blanketing of snow this weekend. The trail is fantastic & a popular spot to take your favorite canine. It would probably be a good business idea to rent out dogs at the trailhead so you don't have to feel so bad if you don't have one. The trail is located at the top of Millcreek Canyon. It is about a 6 miler round trip.
Aspens & Pines getting along in the wild.
My wife Evelyn said the fallen Aspen Leaves reminded her of confetti. Confetti trail?
I love these trees, does that make me a tree hugger?
At the lake, sans dogs... Evelyn told me to hurry & snap a photo because this may be the last time she comes up here. In fairness to her it was a chilly day & we should have braked for food before reaching the top. It's not good hiking on an empty stomach.
Actually, those leaves aren't confetti. It's called litter! Those trees are littering and we should fine them, or issue the ultimate penalty: cut them down! We must stop the littering of our forests! :-)
ReplyDeletehow could those trees dare do such a thing, especially after we gave them arbor day? how inconsiderate!
